Report a bug or a machine
How to report a problem, and how to tell us your machine worked, so others can find out.
Lilo is open source. Problems and machine reports go to the Lilo project on GitHub (github.com/Kadwood/lilo, Issues). There are two forms.
Report a bug#
Choose Bug report and fill in:
- What happened. Say what you did, what you expected and what you got.
- Your system. Mac, Windows or Linux, and the Lilo version. The version is in Lilo Link, Settings.
- A project file. If you can, attach the .lilo file. It lets us see the design.
- Logs. For a send problem, copy the text from Lilo Link, Logs.
A screenshot helps a lot.
Report a machine#
Choose Machine report to tell us how Lilo worked with your machine. We list machines as tested only after a real sew-out. Your report moves a machine from "should work" to "works". Fill in:
- The brand and model.
- Whether the Wi-Fi scan found it.
- Whether Send worked.
- Whether the design sewed.
- Any error code you saw. Read Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
Before you report#
- Check Wi-Fi troubleshooting or Fixing sew-out problems.
- Update to the newest Lilo.
- Do not include private information. Lilo does not send anything automatically.
