Licence and credits
Lilo is free software under GPL-3.0. Here is what it is built on and where the full notices are.
Licence#
Lilo is free software under the GNU General Public Licence version 3 (GPL-3.0). You can use it, study it, change it and share it. If you share a changed version, you must share its source under the same licence. The full text is in the LICENSE file.
Trademarks#
The Kadwood name and logo, and the Lilo name and hibiscus logo, are trademarks of Kadwood. The GPL does not cover them. You may not use them to identify a modified version without permission.
What Lilo is built on#
Lilo stands on other people's open-source work. Thanks to everyone behind it.
- The Wi-Fi bridge behind Lilo Link. MIT licence.
- stitchjs, which writes the stitch patterns. MIT licence.
- vtracer, which traces pictures into shapes. MIT licence.
- Ink/Stitch, for thread palettes and the built-in embroidery fonts. GPL-3.0. Each font comes with its own licence file.
- jsts, for shape geometry. EDL-1.0 or EPL-1.0.
- Several smaller MIT-licensed libraries.
The complete list, with copyright lines and licence texts, is in the NOTICE.md file in the project folder.
Brand names#
Machine, thread and font names belong to their owners. Lilo is not affiliated with any of them. A name in Lilo only says that a file or product works with it, or matches it.
No tracking#
Lilo does not collect data about you or your designs.
