Version history
Browse the last 50 saved versions of a project, preview one and bring it back.
Every project keeps its last 50 versions. Each save and each autosave adds one. When there are more than 50, the oldest drops off.
Open it#
Open the File menu and choose Version history.
What you see#
- A list of saved versions, newest first, each with its time.
- A Preview of the selected version.
Bring one back#
- Click a version to see its preview.
- Press Restore this version, or double-click the version.
Restoring replaces your current work with that version. If you are not sure, save a copy first with Save As….
Undo is different#
Undo (⌘Z) steps back through your edits in the current session, up to 200 steps. Version history is for bigger jumps, or for when you closed the app.
